Hi, I’m Nissa — Registered Nutritional Therapist and Trauma Informed Wellbeing Coach
And I know what it feels like when your body no longer feels like your own.
Even as a Nutritional Therapist already living a healthy lifestyle, in 2020, I found myself suddenly dealing with unexplained symptoms that left me confused, frustrated, and exhausted.
It began with a sudden, full-body rash that lasted a week, followed by burning, watery eyes and intense hay fever-like symptoms. I thought it was an allergic reaction. But then came the bloating, digestive pain, constipation, mood swings, anxiety, sweats, and deep fatigue.
Something wasn’t right — and I didn’t have answers.
While researching nutrition, I came across histamine intolerance and realised I was experiencing a histamine response to the foods I was eating. Transitioning to a low histamine diet helped — but it didn’t solve everything.
That’s when I discovered:
Diet alone isn’t always enough.
Histamine levels can rise from chronic stress, trauma, gut imbalances, infections, and toxins. I had recently recovered from COVID and food poisoning — and the puzzle pieces started to fall into place.
Through functional testing and gut health assessments, I finally identified the root causes. And with a personalised, holistic healing approach — focused on gut health, stress regulation, and nourishing my body — I began to heal.
